If I Were President, My First Act Would Be To Take Control Of Our Foreign Policy

If I Were President, My First Act Would Be To Take Control Of Our Foreign PolicyIf I were president, my first act would be to take control of our foreign policy. Our nation has spent the last several years playing defence against terrorists. We had engaged in military actions in Iraq and Afghanistan without a clear strategy for success. The same could happen in a crisis, and I would decide to implement a solid foreign policy - one that also protects our interests in the Middle East. While such action is positive, it will not address the biggest threat our nation faces. We spend too much time defending our borders. We spend too much time talking about abortion. Our education system is becoming a joke. Why is it that we are spending so much time talking about our domestic issues while we are laying waste to other nations? Our education system, our foreign policy, our budgets, the economy, all must be put on a higher priority if we are to avoid an international situation that cannot be con tained. There is no reason to continue this spending when we are at war. Our goal should be rebuilding our economy from the ground up. The money we currently spend on defence may have been well spent elsewhere, but that money could have been used to further our goals in business, education, healthcare, etc.I believe that a smaller, more agile, and effective government is far more efficient than an administration that seems more interested in catching its enemies than securing our future. If I were president, I would put our nation's best foot forward. This does not mean taking away our freedoms, but it does mean making certain that we can create a stronger and more secure future for our children. If I were president, I would make it my goal to change our foreign policy to align with our goals as a nation. I would review our budget and make sure that our military is being used appropriately, and that we are spending wisely.
